Founded in the 1950s by Fernando and Maddalena De Padova in Milan, the brand introduced Northern European design to Italy, beginning with the import of Scandinavian furniture and objects. Maddalena obtained the license to produce iconic pieces by Charles Eames and George Nelson in Italy, and the company went on to develop its own collections under the De Padova brand, in collaboration with renowned designers such as Vico Magistretti, Achille Castiglioni, Dieter Rams, Patricia Urquiola, and Nendo.
